| Stephen was born in Shefield, England. In 1958, Stephen cane to the United States and took up residence with his parents in Indianapolis, Indiana, upon the completion of his father's first enlistment in the U.S. Air Force. Stephen began his formal education in the Indianapolis Public School System, culminating with his graduation from North Central High School in 1975. In 1976 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in various state side bases and overseas in Panama, Germany and Saudi Arabia. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and received a number of honors and medals, including the Oak Leaf Cluster, and a Bronze Medal for service in Operation Desert Storm. In 1992 Stephen was honorably discharged from the Army after serving sixteen years. |
