William H. Sims

August 5, 1928 — February 23, 2003

William H. Sims, 74, Clay City, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away at home Feb. 23, 2003. He was a machinist for Bryant Heating & Cooling, more recently for Thompkins Industry, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Moose Lodge #17 and Friendly Open Bible Baptist Church (Clay City). He is survived by his wife, Lois (Hayes) Sims; children, Mark Griswald, Mike Sims, Mark Sims, Billy Sims, Daryl Sims, Kelly Clair, Rose Caldwell, Holly Orr, Cheryl Sims; brothers, Art, Claude, Alfred Sims; sisters, Iva Wright, Eunice Laugandofer, Shirley Sims, Betty Sims, Albi Gomez; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services: 12:30 p.m. Wed., Feb. 26 at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East. Calling: Tue., Feb. 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral center. Contributions may be made to United Way.
