William Raymond "Jake" Curl

Husband and father of two, William Raymond "Jake" according to the Franklin, Indiana News Paper on January 19, 1942 said he was the first soldier from Indianapolis killed in World War II. He died December 29, 1941 on the Island Fortress of Corrigador, in the Phillipine Islands.
