He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 12, 1922. After graduating from High school, he attended Indiana University. He wanted to become a doctor. He had to drop out to help his parents at home.He was the founder and owner of Artistic Lithographer Printer Company. His business was well known through out Indiana.He married Wanda Shannon in 1967 they had two sons, Brian and Marc Sr., and two grandchildren, Ashley and Marc Jr. Roscoe loved his grandchildren, his wish was for them to get a good education so they would not have it as hard as he did growing up.His favorite pass time was sports and talking to his friends on his citizens band radio. He enjoyed listening to jazz. His favorite artists where Miles Davis (The Autumn Leaves) and Charlie Parker. He worked for Indiana Employment Division and retired after 40 years. Roscoe liked to watch Wanda paint and would often suggest what tree or lake should be placed where on the canvas, it was his job to give the finished painting a name. One painting he loved was Black Jesus and child, and another was an autumn landscape, which he named coequal co-existence. He liked to go fishing, and camping with the family.
