Raymond Jennings

Beloved husband of 64 years to Doris V. Jennings (Hicks). Father of Raymond J. Jennings. Grandfather of Virginia, Deborah, and Dorinda Jennings. Great Grandfather of Chad Pauley and his only daughter-in-law Lois Duncan who he loved very much. Also his little brother Carl Jennings (who he nick named piggy) who he loved and was very proud of. Ray had kept clippings from his brother Carl being in the newspaper and Carl visited his brother throughout the years in Bradenton, Florida. Ray had many friends but one of his best and oldest friend's was Ben Wiskotonia. Ray and Ben had known each other for 71 years and they loved going fishing together, etc. Ben wrote him non stop throughout the years even after his wife had passed. Ray always loved to fish and hunt and was a very active man. He was a ruggedly handsome man, God fearing, strong yet gentle. He loved to cook and eat. He said he was the best cook he knew besides Doris only because he said he taught her everthing he knew about cooking. He had a wonderful sense of humor and laughed with his big sweetie Doris and his little sweeties his three granddaughters. Ray loved to fish with his grandson-in-law Eric. Ray was very religious, he knew his Bible, he never cursed. Even in the end when the Alzheimers took over Ray was always courteous, gentle, sweet and easy to love and care for. He died 3/28/06 at 7:46 p.m. in Hospice Center in Jacksonville, Florida. He was in no pain and went home quietly.
