Phillip Wayne Adkins

Phillip, my son+From the moment they brought him to me in the hospital I knew he was special. He was a very loving and devoted son. Don't get me wrong; we had our share of misunderstandings, as you will during the teen years. As Phillip matured, he wanted nothing more than to do well so he could provide for his siblings and me. He graduated from School 3 in May 1980, Carmel High School in May 1984, Indiana University in May 1991, and Indiana Law School in May 1994. He passed the Bar Exam in July 1994. He went to work for Robert C. Ware, J.D., C.L.U., and together they wrote a book entitled "The Limited Liability Company". He then went into partnership with Luther Garcia and John Frazier, which later became Adkins & Frazier.Throughout his schooling, he received many awards such as scholastic achievements and he placed second in the city for chess. He received several trophies for baseball, including sportsmanship.My brother was very sacred to me. I always thought of him as this untouchable person who would always be there for us (Mother, Sisters & Brother). He was my angel, my protector. He always saw the best in me, as he did with everyone he came into contact with. He always looked at the good qualities in people, never seeing the bad. He loved poetry, music and other cultures. His real passion was poetry.Phillip was a man of great character whose honor, humor, wit and selfless ways brought out the finest in those around him.The influence of his life upon others is like a flame that will burn brightly forever.He gave so much love to every soul he touched on this earth and we will miss him everyday.
