Paul Eugene Ratliff

Paul was born in Lavonia, Indiana. He moved as a small child to Greenwood< IN. He lived in Greenwood until he married Viola Milum. They met at Fox's Skating Rink on the south side of Indianapolis. Paul fell for the love of his life. He tried to join the military, but was turned down because of a bad eye. During WW2 shortly after he was married, he was drafted. He and Viola loved on N. Richland all their married lives. Paul work at George Washington High School in maintenance until October 1951. He worked for Chevrolet for a short time and went to work for Detroit Diesel- Allison, where he retired after 29 years. He also worked for Hoosier Septic Tank and Sears part-time. Paul was very proud of his children, Sally and Tom, even more proud when the grandchildren came. Paul was a member of the Mars Hill Baptist church. He was a Mason of Evergreen Lodge and an honorary member of 12 other lodges. Paul was a wonderful, caring family man. He was always willing to help anyone and everyone that needed it.
