Mary Agnes Tucher Potts, 52, Fairland, formerly of Indianapolis, died Jan. 16, 2004. She was born on May 8, 1951. Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer in Feb. of 1999, she beat the odds until June of 2002 when the cancer resurfaced. Once again she fought and conquered the deadly disease again. Only to find out in March of 2003 that she had to go another round in her fight with cancer.She once again was winning the battle when the cancer found its way to her brain in September 2003. After a vigilant fight, death was inevitable. Mary took part in the annual Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer walks from 1999-2003.Mary worked for Indiana National Bank, NBD Bank, and Bank One as Corporate Support for a total of 34 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.Mary never met a stranger; she always put her family and friends first. She will be sadly missed but will be in our hearts and prayers forever.Mary is survived by her husband, Richard Potts; daughter, Staci Potts; son, Chad (Michele) Potts; 3 grandsons; mother, Catherine Choat Tucher; siblings, Patricia Tucher, John Tucher, Vince Tucher, Kathy Tucher, Kevin Tucher, Linda Brown, Brenda Smiley and Rick Tucher.She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Tucher; brother, Joe Tucher; and sister, Donna Melloh.Services: 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19 at Legacy Funeral Alternatives and at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 125 N. Oriental.
