My mother was the most courageous woman I have ever known. Se raised three kids by herself. Through all the rough times she always had a drive to get through it. Mom was a die hard Democrat, so she always rooted for the underdog. Over the years she took in so many people and fed them, helped them even when she didn't have much herself. Mom's most valuable treasure besides her kids was her friendships.By the time you hear this I'll be dead,With a satin pillow 'neath my head,But now it's come to mind,That I must leave this poem behind. To tell you in my reverie,Just how much you have meant to me.My life was filled with loving and laughterMy friends and family ever afterGave joy and loveAnd I loved you so.When I am gone I hope you knowI am not saying goodbye. Not for a dayFor a new adventure is on the way.I'll be sending you back whatYou have given meShowers of love for eternity.Author: Louella Sue Schwartz Stone
