Lena "Eleanor" Houston

Lena "Eleanor" Houston 81, Indianapolis, died January 30, 2005. She was born in Indianapolis on October 16, 1923 to John and Lena (Jackson) Hale. She was an Eastern Star Irvington Chapter 364 member, and attended Lawrence Apostolic Church. Her husband, Vaughn E. Houston preceded her in death March 2004. She is survived by her children: Cheryl Ann Walker, Diane E. Rutheford, Joan England and Joseph R. Sanders; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Feb. 2, from 4 to 8 pm at the Washington Park East Community Life Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Community Life Center. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery.
