L. Corpral Eric Hillenburg

Lance Corporal Eric D. Hillenburg 21, Avon, killed in action on December 23, 2004 in Fallujah, Iraq. He was born June 2, 1983 in Bedford, IN. He was a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church and was a 2001 graduate of Chapel Hill Christian School. While at Chapel Hill Christian School, he was a member of the National Christian Honor Society, Varsity Basketball and Varsity Soccer Teams. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 30 at 11 a.m. at Hope Baptist Church. Calling will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 29 at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Speedway. Burial will take place at West Ridge Park.
