Juanita L. Bertram

February 17, 1951 — December 28, 2003

Juanita Lolita Hernandez Bertram embraced life and took nothing for granted. Her love of life was contagious and drew people to her. She was known for exceptional kindness and generosity towards everyone she met. Juanita had many passions. She loved bowling, was an avid collector of both angels and roosters, and always looked forward to frequent trips to Wal-Mart. Juanita also loved animals. When she and her husband, Bill, moved to his family home in Kentucky, she cared for the animals, including cats, dogs, chickens, goats, etc, as if they were her children. She was very proud of her son Bobby, and both she and Bill were wonderful grandparents to Bobby's children, Ben and Darcy. She was loved and will be missed by many, including family, and all of her friends. Before she left us, she advised us all to be kind to cats because, "You never know, it might be me coming back to check up on you." Wherever she is, we know that she is one of God's angels and will always be with us. In the words of Juanita's friend, Patty Morales, "We can only aspire to be as sweet and gentle of a spirit as this remarkable woman." She is laid at rest in Park City, Kentucky.
