John Wesley Thompson

June 11, 1936 — November 30, 2001

John (Tommy) was an example of Supreme Manhood. He had a sweeping, powerful productive intellect and the mellow glow of a never failing enthusiasm.Tommy was rugged in a towering wealth of Moral Splendor. He was gentle, tender, considerate and affectionate. He was a sympathetic friend; a castle where strugglers could find shelter, counsel and comfort. He was a man with tremendous life program. He was no trifler. He was utterly devoted to the interests of God's Kingdom and he was the statesman of triumphant citizenship. Tommy was everything a husband should be. I never once heard him complain. He was always pleasant and kind. I can fly higher than an eagle, because you are the Wind Beneath My Wings. You are my hero. With love, Wife, Doris A.
