Jeffrey Scott Myers

Jeffrey Scott Myers Loving son, brother, father, uncle and friend to many. He was born July 25, 1961 and passed away May 11, 2005. Jeff was a 1979 graduate of Carmel High School. He graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He was a part time police officer, with the Muncie Police Department, while attending Ball State University. He was a volunteer and guest lecturer for the Indianapolis Children's Museum, area grade schools, recently injured patients in Methodist Spinal Cord Unit, 1986 Handicapped Hoosier of the Year, 1988 Consumer Success Story of the Year Award Winner, Founding Member of the Indiana Chapter of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association, member of the Governor's Council for the Disabled and Handicapped. He retired in 2001 from the Indianapolis Police Department as a computer programmer analyst. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13 in Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Washington Park North, with services at 10:30 a.m. Sat. May 14. Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Jeff by gathering at the White River Yacht Club, 1400 E. 74th, immediately following the funeral. Survivors include parents Bill and Lou Baughman Myers; sister Donnetta Dunn; brother Brad Myers; nephews Billy Dunn, Brandon and Brian Myers; niece Erin Dunn, USN; son, Cale Reeves, wife Sara. Memorial contributions may be made to the F.O.P. Auxiliary, in care of F.O.P. Lodge 86, 1427 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46201.
