James Edward Scarborough, Sr. was born in Virginia, September 6, 1927. He worked in the coalmines in Kentucky. James also taught Vocational School. He went on to work security off and on. James loved to work with wood; he would build racecar beds, nativity scenes and birds to hang in your trees. James fought in WW2 in the US Army. He was awarded the World War 2 Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He also served in the Korean War with the US Marines Corp. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the United Nation Service Medal. He found God and was a firm believer in the Bible. He translated the bible to paper in his own words. James loved the outside. He would be outside from morning to night whenever the weather would allow. James loved all his kids and grandkids. If he could pass one thing on to anyone who reads this it would be, Read the bible, get right with God, and love one another. May he rest in peace February 11, 2003.LIVING IN THE DASH
