James "J.C." Clinton Haley

James "J.C." Clinton Haley 79, Indianapolis, died Mar. 31, 2004. He was born in Scottsville, KY, Sept. 4, 1925 to Jess W. and Bessie Lee (Lewis) Haley. James grew up in the Scottsville and Glasgow, Kentucky areas. He joined the U. S. Navy in 1943 and served honorably during WWII. He moved to Indianapolis after discharge finding employment and the love of his life, Eva Marie Walters. He retired in 1988 from the Indianapolis Airport Authority after 20 years of service. Survivors: wife of 52 years Eva Marie Walters Haley; sister Mintie Basham (Granvil); daughter Judy Guerra (Jimmy); sons Jimmy (Sue) of Muskogee, OK and Timmy of Indianapolis; stepson Mike Lee of Indianapolis; seven grand and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Neal, Wendell and Ray Lewis Haley; sisters Laverne Wyatt, Louise Haley and Eunice Ramsey. Contributions: American Heart Association. Services: Sat. Apr. 3 at 11am in Family Funeral Care, with calling Apr 2 from 3 until 8pm.
