James L. Ayler

James L. Ayler, 69 years of age passed away May 1, 2002. He had worked for Union Local # 18.He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 126 F & AM, Millersville Lodge, Vet USN, Moose Lodge # 17 and American Legion Post # 495. He was a member of Warren Hills Christian Church.Survivors include his wife Mary, brother Robert L. Ayler, stepchildren Lucinda Fultz-Johnson, Michael Butler, Darlene Sanders, Coralee Hunt, 11 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 1 great grandson.Jim Ayler, he was a singer, a dancer, a sports fan, but most of all he was a loving person who shared his love with his wife, brother, stepchildren, nieces and nephews.When I think back to my Uncle Jimmie when I was growing up, I remember him laughing and singing! He loved life. Whenever I hear the song "New York, New York" I automatically think of Uncle Jim as I imagine many others do!He was fun!Even in his last months when he was not always feeling well, he would always put on a smiling face when his friends and family came to visit. He loved to see the children and share his stash of candy with them. The children made him remember that life is good!Jimmie, husband, brother, step-grandfather, uncle and more, will be missed by many. However, his family and friends find comfort in knowing that he now enjoys peace, and can live his days dancing while he sings "New York, New York".
