My father Howard Shaw was very quiet and reserved man. He was in the army in World War 2. He served as a military policeman and was offered to move up in ranks. He declined though because he did not want to make a career out of the army. I hope he knows how proud I am of him for serving our country. My father also loved cars. He was a Chevrolet man and would trade for new car every two to three years. He was always waxing, cleaning and checking the engine, and babying his car anyway he could. He was always there to lend a helping hand or money to fix my cars when they broke down or needed work done on them. I could always count on my father for help. When he was not working on his car (or even my own), you could always find him in the living room watching TV. His favorite shows were The Price Is Right, Walker Texas Ranger, Hee Haw, and Gospel Singing. I'll always remember when he'd talked about something exciting his ears would move up and down. I fell that God gave my father his wings so he could be with his wife Dorothy (my mother).
