Howard E. Armstrong

Howard E. Armstrong, 83, Indianapolis, passed away September 11, 2003. Howard was a purchasing agent for Indiana Farm Bureau Co-Op for 34 years, retiring in 1982. He was a red coat volunteer at Community Hospital East for over 10 years after his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Navy. Visitation Friday, September 12, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with Services Saturday, September 13, at 2:00 p.m. in Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. Memorial contributions may be made to the Armstrong Music Scholarship Fund co Warren Central HS, 9500 E. 16th St. Indianapolis, IN 46229. Survivors include his wife Pauline (Heaton) Armstrong, sons; Tom (Ruth), Tim (Melinda) Armstrong, sister; Nancy Atherton, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
