Herbert Netter

December 9, 1893 — May 27, 1964

Herbert was born in Goshen, IN. His father had a slaughter house in Anderson, IN and he used to walk cattle from Elwood to Anderson. He owned groceries in Indianapolis. He and Margaret worked the stores together. He was a very loving man and thought only of his wife and children. Herbert retired and moved to his beloved lake home at Wawasee. He liked to cut grass, plant flowers and loved to fish. He also loved his wife completely and was so devoted to her. They were a strange mixture-he a French Jew and she a German Catholic. They suffered so during WW2 when their 2 sons were overseas. Herbert served in the Army from 1917-1919, stationed in France. Herbert worked hard all his life and died with the respect and love of all who knew him.
