Gladys Florence Ambroz

October 27, 1919 — May 26, 2004

Gladys Florene Taylor Ambroz 84, Indianapolis, passed away May 26, 2004. She was an accomplished concert pianist. She was also a pharmacist for Ambroz Pharmacy for 25 years, where she and her husband owned and operated the pharmacy along with Dean's brother, Wally Ambroz. Mrs. Ambroz also worked for L.S. Ayres Pharmacy at Glendale and was the lead pharmacist at Osco Drug Store at 38th and High School Road for 14 years. A member of North United Methodist Church, serving on several committees; RHO CHI and graduate Magnum Cum Laude from Indianapolis College of Pharmacy, where she became an alumni of Butler University Pharmacy School, after the demise of the Indianapolis College of Pharmacy. Mrs. Ambroz was a volunteer at the Indianapolis Museum of Art in the gift shop. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004 at North United Methodist Church, with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. in the church parlor. Burial in Washington Park North Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean W. Ambroz. Survivors include her daughters: Beverly D. (Randy) Campbell, Linda S. Ambroz and Sharon L. (Michael) Sequite; granddaughter, Angela L. (Patrick) Mahoney; her dog Bandjo and her granddog Jesse. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation or C.O.P.E. Rescue.
