George was lovingly called "Fats" by his friends and family. Fats liked music, Buddy Montgomery came to Fats house on occasion to play the piano for Fats. Jazz was the favorite.Fats had a small part-time job. He loved looking fine in his clothes. The first thing he did with his pay chck was put a suit in lay-a-way.Fats attended Wendell Phillips School # 53. He passed away at the tender age of 17.
