Fayetta Leola Pace Stewart

December 12, 1941 — April 9, 2002

How can we say thanks for the things you've done for us, things so undeserved, but you gave to prove your love for us? For Fayetta LeOla Stewart no sacrifice was ever too great for those she loved. She valued everyone around her. No act of kindness was ever too small for her to show sincere gratitude. Her goal in life was to bring out the best in everyone around her.As she worked to develop others, God was working to develop her. He formed her into a passionate speaker, a dynamic teacher, a wise friend, a trustworthy confidant and much more. Her intense desire was to see others saved. She went about sharing her testimony as a cancer survivor with anyone who would listen. She gave all glory to God for whatever she was and whatever she accomplished.A proud wife, mother of three, grandmother of three, and a son-in-law, her family was her pride and joy. She did not limit "mothering" to her own children, however. She was everyone's mom, always willing to listen, always attempting to help, and always had a kind word.Along the way to her final destination, this multifaceted woman was employed at College Life Insurance Company, and Scwitzer Corporation. She ran a small business (Creative Arts By Faye), coordinating weddings, became an AIDS awareness counselor, Sunday school superintendent, and was an active participant in several prayer and Bible study groups. Space will not permit us to speak of all the lives she proudly touched, the many goals reached, the variety of functions attended for neighborhood children as well as her own, and the laugh that could infect an entire room! Even in sickness, she ministered to other hospital patients, nurses and staff.Mere words could not express all that she was to us. Nevertheless, in tribute to her, we must say the world was made better because she graced it with her presence. The world would continue to a be better place if more were like her.
