Emily was a 1992 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School. She started her studies in Commercial Art and Design in the fall at Vincennes University. In November of 1993 she had to unexpectedly withdrawal from school to receive a heart transplant. Determined to succeed, she later returned to college and received her degree. After graduating from Vincennes University, Emily began her career as a Merchandising Designer in 1996 at Reebok/Group Athletica, Indianapolis. Here she designed graphics for all types of sports apparel. She loved her job and career, and worked there until her passing in December 2003. Emily made many friends at Group Athlectica and is greatly missed by her co-workers. Emily met her husband, Michael, in college and they were inseparable. They started their adult lives together, graduation, jobs, marriage and homes. Their eternal love for one another was apparent to all who knew them.As a strong supporter of organ donation, Emily attended the US Transplant Games in 1998 and 2000, where she received the silver and bronze medals in bowling. She was also a member of the Vincennes University bowling team and the Indianapolis Women's League. Emily had a love of life that superseded all that she did. She appreciated all that life had to offer and found happiness in the smallest of life's details. Her love, happiness, and constant smile warmed all that knew her. She was a loving wife, daughter, and friend. Emily is missed more than words can express. Her life is an inspiration to us all.
