Elmer Clyde Lakin

Elmer Lakin was born the seventh child of Ray and Lillian Lakin on April 12, 1929. Although he was the seventh child, he was the first-born son. His father died when he was a young child forcing him to go to work at the age of 15.He was a loving husband to Carolyn for almost 43 years and a caring father to his four children, Jodi, Joe, Jim and Mary.His love for children seemed to grow with age. After an early retirement, he babysat for two great-nephews, Kyle and Jonathan, taking them to the park, arcade and Showbiz Pizza. He even took them to preschool and drove on field trips at most family functions. You could find "Uncle Elmer" surrounded by children.
