Donald Walter Hartzell

July 28, 1913 — August 30, 1970

Donald Walter Hartzell was the second of six children born to Estella Gertrude Kelly and Walter Simeon Hartzell. Donald was a mechanical engineer, as well as a musician. He played saxophone, banjo, marimba and some piano.Donald often sang duets with his wife, Myra. Donald was active in churches and church work, all of his life. In addition, Donald was a member of Toastmasters International and was active in Little Theater, portraying "Finion" in "Finion's Rainbow, in Centralia, Illinois.Donald's favorite pastime was fishing. Donald wrote poetry, for many years under the pen name of Jonathan Ware.
