Bertha Mae Bacon

Mrs. Bertha Mae Owens Bacon Age 45, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 21, 2004. A 1978 graduate of Crispus Attucks High School, she was employed by Wishard Hospital for nine years. A devoted mother, she was on the P.T.A. at Deer Run and Eagle Creek Elementary schools. An evangelist and Bible student since her youth, she was presently a member of Eastern Star Church, where she served in the Puppet, Greeters and Outreach ministries, and a member of the Prayer Line and the Intercessory Prayer Team. Services are to be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at Eastern Star Church 5750 East 30th Street with calling from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in Washington Park Cemetery, North, Indianapolis. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Lindsey Tory Bacon; daughter, Cadejia Deshuna Bacon; sisters, Rose Owens, Frieda Mitchell and Joann Owens; brothers, Charles Edward Owens and Johnnie Ray Owens, Jr. and mother-in-law, Juanita C. Bacon.
