August Wayne Nelson

August Wayne Nelson, 90, passed away June 1, 2003 in Lawrence, IN. He was born August 7, 1912 near Winslow, Indiana. He was a member of the Church of God, Anderson, IN. He worked as a repairman at the International Harvester Company (Navistar) for 30 years, retiring in 1972. He is survived by his wife Helen Utterback Nelson; three daughters Karen Tomlin (Don), Brenda Ranger and Becky McCoy (Jim) all of Indianapolis, IN; son Rev. Stephen A. Nelson (Glenda) of Jonesboro, Louisana; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Hazel Stogsdill of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews. August was preceded in death by a young son Larry Wayne Nelson. Services will be held Wed. June 4, 2003 at 10 a.m. at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center - Lawrence, with calling Tues. June 3, 2003 from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial: Washington Park East Cemetery. Rev. Stephen A. Nelson officiating.
