She loved everybody and everybody loved her. A great mother, grandmother and granny. There was always room for one more at our house. We had lots of family gatherings and her tasty apple pie. She carried several rain bonnets in her big black purse. When asked why, she said "One for me and one for somebody else." She had great faith. I am sure her faith brought her sons home safely from W.W.II. During the war she worked at Curtis Wright. She attended the Church of God and Church at the Crossing.
Grandchildren: Donna Jean, Sandra Sue, Gary, Terry, Danny, Barbara, Brenda, William T., Kenneth, Mary Alice, Richard Keith, Peggy, Robert, Kathryn, Rita, Sandra, David, Jerry, Tom, Sharon, Raymond E. Jr. As of the year 2000 there are 37 great grandchildren. |

This is Florence's rocking chair as a child which she protected and cherished. It was given to her by her father at age three. Her son Bill won the doll for her daughter Ida.
