Born November 8, 1920, near Sheridan, he was the son of William and Hettie Goodnight. He attended Arcadia Schools. He married Marguerite Dempsey September 19, 1943 and she survives. He was a farmer, drove a school bus for Jackson Township and Hamilton Heights schools and worked 15 years in the maintenance department at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, retiring in 1992. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge, Cicero Order of Eastern Star, Cicero American Legion and Boxley Christian Sisterhood and Brotherhood. Surviving with his his wife is a brother, Murel Goodnight of Atlanta. One brother, Donald Goodnight, preceded him in death. |
