| Samuel Theodore Miller was born on September 3, 1998, to Chris & Cheri Miller. He was our first child. He was a very happy and loving baby. Sam was baptized on January 24,1999 at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church in Fishers. On February 20,1999 Sam was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He was five months old. Sam was treated at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN. He relapsed in October of 1999 and under went a stem cell transplant in February of 2000. Sam again relapsed in April of 2000 and died on April 5, 2000. He was nineteen months old. Throughout Sam's treatment he remained very happy. Sam never let anything get him down. He was always smiling and laughing. No one would ever suspect that Sam had Leukemia. He taught us a great deal about being courageous. Samuel was a true inspiration to his family and many, many others. Sam's little sister, Emily was born ten weeks before his death. He was always happy to see her and loved to give her pats. Sam will be missed greatly by his parents, sister, grandparents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.NOTE: In the Family Links, see grandchildren to view the names of Samuel's grandparents. |
