Francis was born in Indianapolis and had four brothers, two sisters. Francis attended Arsenal Technical High School and later Butler University where he graduated with a degree in Pharmacology. He met Alis J. Marquette and after several months of dating, they married on 7/22/1939. Francis owned Bargersville Pharmacy from 1951 to 1969. Then went to work for Kroetz Drug Store in Cumberland, IN. Francis was an Elder and Deacon at the First Christian Church in Bargersville. He also taught Sunday School for many years. Francis was an avid bowler and fisherman. He was on three bowling leagues when he died. Francis was also the best cook in town, He spent the majority of his life caring and loving his wife Alis and daughters Jenile, Janet, three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Francis was known for his generosity, love and compassion for all people. |
