I can not say, and you will not say you are dead; you are just passed away. The sorrow in our hearts of you passing will be healed by all the wonderful memories you left behind. You were a very special person and we will miss your love, wisdom, strength, devotion, trust, honesty and most of all the memorable times we all shared with you. You have now crossed over the bridge, the same one we will all cross eventually. It is a comfort to know you will be there with open arms and love to greet each of us. Your soul went home to God and you will have everlasting life. We loved you dearly. |

This was a nice car in it's day. Dad was 24 years old in this 1936 photograph.
It was the war years. We loved at 2207 Duke St. We had a lot of good times there. All of dad & mom's families lived near and we had many family gatherings.
This was in 1954, dad had four brothers. Dad was the oldest of five. Dad out lived them all. Theodore died at age 56, Everett 69, Earl 54, Floyd 74 and dad 86 yrs. old.
Fishing was the love of dad's life. This was taken in N. Carolina while deep sea fishing. Dad took many fishing trips to Canada with his son Don and friends.
Again N. Carolina. We had gone to visit uncle Gene, mom's brother. Grandpa and dad were great buddies.
Dad and mom went to Florida to visit Don and Karen. They were down there for the entire winter.
Dad and mom traveled a lot and did a lot of camping. They go to see many things and places.
This again was on of their vacations. In his later years dad always wore a hat. This was on of his favorites.
We had a Halloween party and dad dressed as a country western singer and I dressed as Dolly Parton. We all had a great time.
Christmas of 1999. This was to be the final picture of dad. With him is his great grandson Drew. He got a Santa hat which he wore all day. It was our last holiday together.
