Oh, little one, so quickly gone, so many hearts that you have won. The angels cried that winter's day, when snow crunched cold, and there you lay. Oh little one, so still and cold....what sad, sad story must be told. We pray for strength to walk this mile, again, to mourn an innocent child. So burdened must your family be, to bear such heartache tragically. Oh, little one, in swaddling cloth, denied your bed and blankets soft. Denied the breast of mother's love, we know your soul's with God above. For now you're warmed by angels' wings, sweet lullabies they'll softly sing. When little ones, as you are born, and then....among the dead-to mourn....Our gentle tears fall down our cheeks, we pray for all, the strong and weak. As angels hum their lullabies, oh, little one, for you, we cry. |
