| Catherine Turner was a great mother and grandmother. Her husband died when the children were young and she raised all of us by herself. All the neighborhood children loved to come to our house because of the love my mother shared with everyone. Although there were eight of us, Catherine raised two other children because their mother died. She always had time for her family. We always went over to Catherine's house on Sunday for dinner. She loved cooking and having her family close by. And we loved being there! She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She loved reading her bible and going to church. |

This was a family picnic on Labor Day. Catherine was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

After church on every Sunday, everyone gathered at Catherine's house for dinner, family and fun. Oldest daughter, children and grandmother.
