Norman Eugene McIntire was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. On June 19, 1941 he entered the military service at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, and attended training at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. He was then assigned to Co. A 117th Combat Engineers Battalion. He served in Luzon Northern Solomons Philippine Liberation, USA, Asiatic, and the Pacific from June 19, 1941 to July 5, 1945. Norman then left military service and went to work for Eli Lilly & Co., retiring after 33 years. |
