Von graduated Shortridge HS Indianapolis, IN in 1944 and attended Purdue University 1 yr. then joined the U.S. Navy. He returned to Purdue and graduated with BSME in 1950.
Employed by Citizen's Gas and Coke Utility for 2 yrs. as Cadet Engineer; Surveyor & Pipeline Installation Inspector. Then to Eli Lilly & Co. until retirement in 1990. Dept. Head in plant layout, production methods and plant engineering methods & systems. Helped develop computer MIMS.
Eagle Scout active 35 yrs., 3 as Scout Master. Decon Elder & Trustee of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church in Carmel, IN. Currently active in volunteer work and genealogy for his mother's family Terhune, and his in-laws the Fuller family. |
