Richard Arlie Holderfield, born on June 24, 1938 to Clarance and Lily Holderfield, was a great boy. He was a traffic Guard in Grade School. He drove for Red Cab. He married Verna Holderfield on September 7, 1971 in his mother’s front room on Villa. He had nine children and 6 step-children. His kids love him very much and have many memories of him. Rick remembers a time at a family reunion; dad played softball in motorcycle boots. Donnie remembers going to work with dad and buying a candy bar and a drink for 15 cents. Ronnie stole Sandy's bike and went to Georgia and dad had to go get him. Judy remembers that dad was afraid of highest and went down on Agas Ave. Diane remembers going for a Sunday Drive and ending up in Kentucky or Illinois. Karen remembers she would meet dad at the bank for 60 cents to buy ice cream. Sandy remembers getting 31 cents for allowance. Melanie remembers standing in the sit singing Delta Dawn and she was special because she went everywhere because she was the baby. He worked for the Indianapolis Drum Services for 10 years. Richard was the youngest of Five Children.
