Mary Louise and Willard accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior at an early age, and dedicated their God-given musical talents to Christian service - radio broadcast, Women's Prison ministry and Children's detention home with Mary Louise singing and Willard playing the piano or organ.
Mary Louise and Willard were married in Woodruff Place Baptist Church on October 14, 1942. Woodruff members till 1955, then Franklin Road Baptist Church 1955 to 1962, and First Baptist Church Indianapolis from 1962 till the end of our earthly lives.
Mary Louise and Willard were member of the sanctuary choir at First Baptist Church from 1962. Mary Louise was soprano soloist doing oratorios as well as gospel and hymns. Mary Louise sang for over 2,000 funerals before she stopped counting.
Willard played many organs in his life from little country peddle organs, Christ Church on Monument Circle, Scottish Rite Cathedral, to the mighty Ely Cathedral organ in England and the first religious broadcast on station WIBC at the top of the Indianapolis Athletic Club, Youth for Christ for 5 years from its founding and staff organist for 2 funeral homes.
Mary Louise and Willard have two wonderful children, D. Gregg and Carole Louise and 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Willard and Mary Louise were proud owners of Will-Mair Interiors from its founding in 1962 till closing in 2004. Having made many clients into personal friends and doing work from Englad to Hawaii, Minnesota to Florida and in between. |
