James Andrew Morrison was born to John and Christine Morrison on October 15, 1981. He had an older sister Caroline and, three years later, a younger sister Cathleen was born. He was close to his family as he grew up in Cape Coral, Florida, before, moving to Indianapolis when he was 6 years old. He spent time with friends, traveling on family vacations and enjoyed art, nature, animals, and music often played the piano.

As a young adult, he was caring and gentle and touched the lives of family, friends, and members of different churches that he attended including Northminster Presbyterian and his home parish of St. Michael Catholic Church. He joined drama clubs, Bible Study groups, and would go to several services a week.

He had been study at Marian College hoping to one day be a therapist and help others by sharing his own struggles with mental illness. During his time there, he spent a summer in Spain studying and also traveled to other parts of Europe while he was there. Back at home he enjoyed practicing his Spanish, and meeting other people in various groups and walks of life.

He loved animals and volunteered at the Humane Society. He collected comic books, especially Spider-man and X-Men, watching cartoons on TV, and played video games. He listened to all types of music, especially Christian Rock. He also enjoyed going to the movies, playing chess and board games, swimming, laughing, and eating with his family, friends, and support groups.

Jim will be remembered by others; for his kind smile, warm laugh, and the ways he tried to help others out by caring about them. He made an impact on the lives of everyone he touched especially those who tried so hard to help him and care for him.
