Never has been a kinder or more generous person. Known to everyone as, Ciel, or Grandma, she shared all her love with everyone around her.

Born in Decatur, Alabama, a twin weighing only less than 2 lbs., she was placed in a shoebox while care was given to her mother and larger sister. Noticing she was still alive the next day they started to care for her as well.

She was a 50-year resident of Indianapolis, and resided in Cloverdale, IN her last 14 years. She passed away in the hospital in Greencastle, IN of heart failure. She was retired from Real Silk Hosiery Mill but her 2nd career was that of helping raise her 5 grandchildren. While also caring for her ailing Mother, helping her husband with a long fight against cancer and making sure that her blind sister got to her doctor appointments. This was not her twin but her younger sister. For this she will always be remembered and loved by many, for all her love, care and guidance. Her love and devotion to her family was never ending.

She served as a volunteer in the Cradle Roll Nursery at her church in Indianapolis for 30 years. She was active in various church related ministries and the women’s guild, thru out her life. Always helping those around her and never thinking of herself.

A Greater Person has never lived; she will be missed by many.
