Audrey was born the second child in a series of five children. We were born in a poor family in Kentucky. Our family moved to Indianapolis when Audrey was five. We lived on Laurel Street, then Woodlawn and until we left home we lived on Spruce Street. Audrey left home when she was fifteen to live with her older sister, Diane. Shortly after, she met Robert Gentry and moved into the home he lived with his family.

Audrey and Robert had their first child, Amy, followed two years later by Robert III. Audrey and Robert were together 30 plus years and have 5 grandchildren. Audrey is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley and her only brother, Jerry Ray. Audrey is survived and greatly missed by her father, Aubrey, three sisters, Diane, Connie and Sandy, Two children , Amy and Robert and 5 grandchildren. Audrey has two grandchildren who are in her loving care, Michael and Robert.

Her husband, Robert died shortly after Audrey and now they remain together in a far better place. Audrey had a full life, but not a peaceful one. Growing up the only joy we had was spending the summers with our grandparents, where we felt truly safe. Our grandparents were loving people who loved the Lord. Our grandfather always told us that he knew a place was held for us in heaven becasue of all the hell we had on Earth.

So Audrey, today I know you are happy and at peace at last. We will see you on the other side, sis. Sleep well my sister, I love you.
