Charles Wright Hash (08-08-1912 to 07-06-1978)

Born in West Virginia, the son of a family of 6 children. Charles was close to 10 years old when his father died.

After leaving home, he got a delivery job as a Omar bread man. About that time, he met is wife Inez May West. After marrying, they purchased two homes in Indianapolis, and rented one of them. After a few years they sold the homes and purchased three homes and a barn on 4 acres in Hortonville, Indiana November 8, 1943, they adopted a little girl (Diana LaVerne), and then three years later they adopted a little boy (Charles Hiram).

In the late 50's they tore down the old barn and built a large building for their Poultry and Egg business. They later built two homes and two garages to expand their rental property. After retiring from the business they moved into the large building, which gave them 5 homes to rent. They had a small animal farm that consisted of sheep, geese, rabbits, ducks, chickens, and a pony.

Charles was a Mason in the Masonic Lodge. He was a Shriner, and also belonged to the Lions Club. In 1960 he was a Farm Implement Dealer in Arkansas. Later on, for a short time he ran a gas station. After that he owned a used car business in Westfield, Indiana. A few years later he relocated his used car business to Noblesville, Indiana. Inez helped with the paperwork.

He loved to go fishing and camping with his wife Inez, and their three granddaughters Angie, Audra, and Anne.

He developed sugar diabetes in the 60's. He had 5 different strokes in the 60's and 70's, which caused his left side to be paralyzed. He died on July 6, 1978.
