Beloved wife of 64 years to Raymond L. Jennings. Mother of Raymond J. Jennings and Grandmother of Virginia, Deborah and Dorinda Jennings. Great-Grandmother of Chad Pauley.
Doris always made everyone feel special. She had one the biggest hearts we knew. She loved to cook and was a wonderful chef. She was always taking care of people. She handmade her eldest granddaughter's wedding gown, which her youngest granddaughter also got married in. She was funny and loved to joke. She had wonderful friends, Martha, Lovey French, and Margie which she stayed in touch for many years. (Most of her life.) Doris loved Lois C. Duncan as her daughter. Doris was not only physically beautiful but had a spirit that shined and sparkled. We loved her humor. Doris loved her son-in-law Eric (Virginia's husband of 20 years) whom she loved as a grandson.
Doris died exactly the way she wanted to. In her chair at home with no fussing over her on February 16, 2002.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana and retired in Bradenton, Florida. Doris had a loving heart. She always made you feel like part of the family. Doris always had a way of making you feel special. She had a very close loving relationship with her parents. Doris' hobby was her friends and family she loved spending time with them and doing things with them. When she did find spare time for herself, she loved taking care of her plants, she also loved to sit and look out her back porch over looking the river, watching the squirrels, birds, boats etc. most of all her Sunrise & Sunsets she was able to view from her back porch. She was one in a million. We loved her so much and will always and forever think of her, today, tomorrow, and always. |
