Our Dad was everything to us. Dad was our friend, our disciplinarian, our role model, our comedian, and a very caring person who did everything possible for the good for his family. Along with mom, we feel very fortunate to have a Dad who was always there when we needed him.

From his humble beginnings in West Virginia, to his Navy days, to raising a family, Dad was a very hard working man while taking time out for his family and many, many friends, As most of you know, he knew a little about everything and wasn't afraid to share this knowledge, sometimes in a single conversation.

Dad not only had a lot of friends, he was a lot of people's best friend. That says a lot. He was his family's best friend. He was still giving of himself till the very end.

As we all mourn his today, please remember he always wanted us to celebrate him and throw a party in his honor versus a wake.

Dad we love you dearly and we will miss you.God Bless You,
The Dolin Family

I want to share a story about faith and prayers.

At 6am, Monday after the call from Mom that Dad's condition had changed. My son Dylan questioned why I was up so early. I explained Grandpa was sick again and we needed to say a prayer.

Dylan prayed for 3 things. 1. Grandpa to get better. 2. His cousins, John and Robbie to come visit him. 3. Pokemon to be on everyday. Our Dad passed away less than 24 hours later. I was mad at God. Not only because he had taken my Dad but I thought how could he ignore the prayers of many, especially the prayer of a child. While talking with a good friend, who recently suffered a loss herself, she shared with me what she had learned about loss. Just because a prayer seems unanswered, doesn't mean it wasn't.

When I looked I seen that God had indeed answered Dylan's prayer.
Grandpa is better, he went to his home in heaven.
John and Robbie did come to see us, though not on a joyous occasion.
Pokemon is on everyday.

Dad we know you are in Heaven, still watching over us.
You will be missed and loved always.
