| John Edward Lyon age 53 passed away February 9, 1994 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born December 7, 1940 in Marion, Ohio to Basil C. Lyon and Ferne Rice Lyon.He graduated from Harding High School Marion, Ohio in 1957. Shortly after graduating he joined the US Air Force where he served for 8 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran. On January 8, 1972 he married Sharon Baker Stroup in Indianapolis, Indiana. John worked for Amtrak for several years.Survivors are his wife Sharon, son Robert Basil Lyon and Stepson William James Stroup. One sister, Rita L. Payne and a special brother-in-law Stanley W. Payne. His father and daughter, Melissa Lou Lyon preceded him in death. His mother Ferne Lyon Kittrell passed away in 2001.John is interred at Washington Park East Cemetery beside his daughter "Missy". |
