Clarence "Dan" Teipen was devoted to God, his country, his family, and friends. He was employed at Allison's Indianapolis for 30 years, as a craftsman-designer in the engineering department. He was involved in the development of many airplane engines, a career he enjoyed and took pride in. He enjoyed keeping contact with his WW2 comrades and attended their reunions throughout the years. He organized the Teipen family reunions, which became annual events. He researched and developed the Teipen family tree and made six trips to Europe to develop contacts with Teipen's living in Germany. Many of them have visited American relatives as a result. He had great joy from spending time with his children and grandchildren and his stepchildren and step-grandchildren. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Millie, married 20 years, 10 months. |
