Dad was born in Thornton, Kentucky on February 10, 1933. At the age of 13 he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana with his family.
Dad met our Mom (Karen Van Deventer) and was married in 1952. They had two children, David and Linda. They celebrated their 50th anniversary on December 24, 2002. He worked for International Harvester from 1953 until 1981 when he retired.
Dad loved to work on and fix up old cars, his pride being his 1957 Cadillac. He also loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycles. After retirement mom and dad bought a Fifth-wheel trailer and enjoyed traveling all over the United States.
He passed away on December 22, 2003 of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's) disease.
Dad is missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and is thought of each and every day. Time with love ones is never enough, so cherish the time you have. We didn't have enough time with Dad but we do have peace in the knowledge that God will hold him in his arms until we are together again.
We miss you, Your Loving Family. |
