Jane was born in Speedway, Indiana on April 6, 1916 to John S. Leonard and Honor (Goodale) Leonard. Jane grew up with her siblings Martha (Leonard) Iverson and Lawrence G. Leonard. She attended Speedway Grammar School class 1929 and graduated from George Washington High School in 1933. She attended Purdue University from 1933 to 1937 graduating with a bachelor's degree in home economics. She worked for Singer and Allison's leaving Allison's in 1945.
On February 8, 1945 Jane married Charles H. Caylor of Tazewell, Tennessee. They lived at 4445 Lafayette Road moving to 6841 Latona Drive in Indianapolis in 1960. Jane and Charles had two children, Keith Charles born in 1951 and Kathleen born in 1953.
In her later years, Jane and Charles moved from their home on Latona Drive to a nearby retirement village called Robin Run. She lived at Robin Run from 1992 until she passed away at age 84 in the year 2000.
Jane will always be remembered for her smile and her laugh. She was a loving and supportive mother and we will always love her and our memories of her.
