My Life
As we travel along life's way
Many things happen from day to day
Some things we would care to forget at the start
And some things we hold dear and close to our hearts
We've had sickness, sadness, sorrow, and grief
And bills piling up with it, seems no relief
As I sum up all those troubles and more
The good days couldn't possibly even the score
But when I think this I'm wrong, wrong as can be
For when I look at the bright side, here is what I see
I see home I can sit in and watch the rain
Beat slow and steady on the windowpane
I see a wife that to me is so dear and sweet
One that I love with a love so complete
Four children laughing and climbing the walls
All healthy and screaming and running the halls
All these things I'll say over and over again
More than make up for the troubles and pain
So I'll live life as it comes with its sorrow and joys
Just me, my wife, our two girls and two boys. |
